Robert (Bob) Marion Barton was born in Illinois, moving to California with his family when he was young. Almost all of the four previous generations of ancestors were also born in the U.S., with one that I know of who was born in England. Four generations of family surnames and a pedigree can be found below. Bob’s parents and grandparents were all from Illinois. Great grandparents and great great grandparents also came from Ohio, Michigan, Virginia/West Virginia, and Maryland. Although Bob married and lived in California for the rest of his life, he and his wife loved to travel and did so regularly, and passed that love to many of their children.
